I am intrigued.
The “What will you do?” prompt is unusual.
Ooooh. The little “flashes” (I’m avoiding spoilers on this one) walking from my bedroom to the hallway to the bathroom are very spooky. Creepy.
The prose is brilliant. So much is said with so few words. Poetic. Haiku-like, even, which is appropriate given the Japanese name of the author (though Jenni suspects it’s Andrew Plotkin in disguise).
Finished. So: beautifully written. Chilling, and dread-provoking in places, though I found Father to be quite heartwarming even with just the little interaction available.
This is a gem. A brilliant little nugget of charming unsettlingness.
