The new issue (19) of Platinum Grit is out! I recommend you click through and check it out, because there is some fine, fine art and good storytelling to be had here.

(To be more specific, I recommend you check it out from the beginning. Seriously, the new one won’t make any kind of sense on its own.)

The one on the right is seriously thinking about jumping into your ear, hollowing out your brain, and driving you around like a war mecha while cackling evilly.

The one on the left is sleepy.

You will never hear me use the phrase “that guy has too much free time on his hands”. That is bullshit that people spout when they’re jealous of people who have the time and motivation to do awesome and creative things. Like this guy, who made a fully-detailed and articulated Wall-E case for his computer. Out of metal. Hand-machined.

He ground his own plastic lenses for the eyes, for chrissakes!

This is basically the definition of “insane genius”.

Braid has finally come out for the Mac! Hooray! I’ve actually played some of it already — I found an (apparently) unofficial Cider port of it, out in the seedy underbelly of the Internet. This official version apparently doesn’t use Cider though — it runs on PowerPC chips as well as Intel — so theoretically it should run better. Not that I had any problems with the Cider version, but my mac is pretty hardcore, so your mileage may vary. Anyway, I’ma buy a legit copy here after I’ve worked on KoL’s new Item of the Month for a bit.

It’s a terrific game — the graphics are just beautiful, and the game mechanics had me going “Wait, what? Hoooly shit.” on numerous occasions. Recommended!

This just in: “leaked” video of the new project by the creators of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Fantastic.

In other news: BoingBoing Offworld announces that Bethesda announces two new DLC packs for Fallout 3, as well as releases for all of the DLC to the PS3. Dreams really do come true!

D to the L to the C to the P-S-3.
